This is my most played game ever to date. I most likely hold the record for the most dedicated player for MGS3. I've beaten this game on the European Extreme difficulty level sixteen times. and for those of you who don't know what that is, if you are spotted by an enemy, the game is over.
Well there is some background info for you guys.
**most of this review is from my personal view of the game. Mostly because i cant help but to put my own personal perspective in it seeing how addicted i was to it.
==================================================================
Graphics 9
The best graphics(in my opinion) in its own time. MGS3:S, released in 2005 the later years of the Ps2, defiantly had some impressive graphics for us gamers. The cut scenes were more polished then most earlier and later games of the generation. With swifter and "cleaner" movements from the characters, making me sometimes wonder if i'm watching a movie rather than playing a game.

Sound 9
The soundtrack of the game is definitely one of the most memorable of any other that i've heard. The sequence where you have to climb up the ladder in the tunnel and listen to "Snake Eater" all the way up is definitely enough to get it stuck in your head.

Controls 8
I would call them kind of frusterating if you are just starting out. But you get used to them quickly. Sometimes the combos to do something simple can be annoying. i.e first person view how you have to hold r1, l1, and square all at the same time while releasing square to shoot.

Story 10
Personal perspective: perfect. exciting, sad, funny, and well thought out.
Others perspective: kind of confusing, cutscenes are too long and sometimes don't make sense. skipping cutscenes sometimes leaves you wondering how you got to the place.
& for those people, try replaying the game and listening closely to them, maybe it will be clearer to you.
not an insult just a thought.

Fun:
i rated it a ten. Its addictive, unlike alot of other games. Especially if you had online with this game(including myself).
The mini missions with the bosses encourage you to beat your time if your into that.

Replay 10
Very Replayable.
It makes alot of sense to replay if you missed any part of the story. its fun and more interesting to play through the harder difficulties. shooting all of the green frogs and collecting all of the camouflage is a great reason to go through the game again.

As i stated before, this review was mostly done as a personal perspective. And if you must post a flaw, please don't make it sound hate-ish, just friendly criticism will do.
Nice review! It's nice to see that you really enjoyed this game and I must say, I did too. However I do have a minor disagreement with you in the terms of controls. I found them to be somewhat clunky and outdated especially for that generation of gaming. Even though they have evolved since the MGS1 days from PS1 I just wish that more attention was paid to movement, and shooting (mainly in first person), and camerawork. Besides that I agree with you on all other parts. Good job, keep up the good work =3!
